Kedem Auctions Ltd.

Auction House Name Kedem Auctions Ltd.
Site URL http://www.kedem-auctions.com/
About Us Kedem Auctions was established in 2008 by Meron Eren and Avishai Galer, both of whom had been long-time dealers of items related to Judaica and the history and culture of the Jewish people. They chose the name Kedem because the root of this Hebrew word refers both to times gone by ('kedem') and to progress and the look ahead ('kadima'). Avishai specializes in Jewish religious books ('Sifrey Kodesh') and rabbinical manuscripts, while Meron's professional background is in modern Jewish history and culture. Every year Kedem conducts circa ten public auctions in two categories: Jewish religious books, manuscripts and rabbinical letters; and Jewish history, culture and art including Palestine/Holy Land-related items. Kedem's goals are to offer its growing clientele -- which includes the world's leading private collectors and public and academic institutions -- quality items of excellent value presented in professional, high-quality catalogs, to conduct our auctions with the highest standards of credibility, and to offer our consignors and bidders the best possible service. Kedem offers also a Private Sales service. Kedem accepts for evaluation and auction items ranging from single lots to complete collections, in all fields related to Judaism and the history and culture of the Jewish people and Eretz Israel. In addition to books and manuscripts we are interested in all types of ephemera (letters, autographs, photographs, postcards, graphic items, posters and more) and Jewish objects, including ritual Jewish items (such as Hanukkah lamps, Kiddush cups and other objects of the Jewish home) and historic objects (Eretz Israel items, Bezalel, local ceramics, vintage toys and games, badges and pins, and more). In the ten-plus years since it was founded Kedem has positioned itself as the leading Judaica auction house in the world. We would be honored to have you join our growing list of clients.
