MatchMaker is a service which enables you to search live auctions, eBay auctions, and Abebooks (the world's largest seller of old books) on a daily automated basis for books you want. It will search Abebooks and live auctions for specific titles you select ("Tom Sawyer") while it will also search live auctions and eBay auctions for descriptive terms ("Mississippi River"). Live auction matches are provided through the AE database of listings from over 80 auction houses.

Once you have created your list of titles and descriptive terms, MatchMaker will go back every night and search for new listings from the past day and notify you in the morning of matches. Automated searches are essential for finding books and ephemera at auction as listings last only a few days, while the best new listings on Abebooks are also likely to sell quickly. MatchMaker finds them first.
